A Craftsman’s approach to cultural work
I work where art and science meet, where storytelling helps complex ideas become shared understanding.
With more than sixteen years of experience in cultural and scientific outreach, I have developed and led projects that connect disciplines, institutions, and audiences: from curating exhibitions at the Musée de l’Homme to coordinating European outreach strategies for the EUROfusion consortium. My work aims to translate research into experiences that inform, include, and inspire.
These experiences have shaped an approach to communication that is both strategic and deeply human. Whether designing transmedia exhibitions, mentoring colleagues, or developing inclusive outreach programs across cultures, I view each project as a dialogue between disciplines, audiences, and ideas. This has strengthened my belief that effective communication is not about simplifying science, but about creating spaces where people feel invited to participate in knowledge itself.
Recognized with the CIMUSET Prize and contributions to publications on decolonising science communication, I see this profession as a craft built on listening and collaboration. Each project begins with a question: how can knowledge reach people in ways that matter? For me, the balance lies in bridging creativity and realism. Its purpose is to serve ideas that help us understand one another a little better.
